Crista Bandini has been riding for over forty years.

She began riding in Houston, Texas where she worked under Ragan Roberts, Pauline Cook, Keith Merifield and Teri Bludworth. She then went on to have a successful hunter jumper business for over eight years. During this time, her students at Glendaloch Farm won numerous year end awards.

In 2000, Crista left the industry to pursue a career on the thoroughbred race track. She was a working rider for such well known trainers as Steve Asmussen, one of the leading trainers in the United States and trainer of Rachel Alexander and Curlin. She also worked for Michelle Lovell, Mike Stidham among numerous others. As a jockey she rode horses for trainers such as Danny Pish and Brian House.

In the fall of 2006, Crista moved to the Texas Hill Country and joined Madrone Ranch Stables as a riding instructor and barn manager. After three years at Madrone, she felt compelled to restart Glendaloch Farm again. She has relocated to Terra Sano to fulfill this dream. Crista offers an array of lessons to the hunter jumper enthusiast, as well as training and showing your horse. All levels are welcome at Glendaloch Farm which offers lessons that run the gamut from horsemanship to horse shows in a relaxed, fun atmosphere where everyone is friendly.

Riding requires a great deal of thought and intuition; it’s a dance between the rider and horse. I believe training must be tailored to suit each individual rider and horse.
